Bainville Beats Circle For 2C Win

Bainville took control in the final quarter to knock off Circle, 57-45, during boys’ basketball action in Circle on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The Bulldogs led by only a 39-38 margin after three quarters of play, but Bainville outscored Circle by an 18-7 margin in the final period.

Kaden Hansen connected on two three-pointers in the final period. Jesse Strickland scored five points, including a three-pointer, in the quarter. Sam Butikofer added four points.

Bainville’s top scorers in the league victory were Hansen with 18, Braeden Romo with 16 and Strickland with 12.

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were S. Butikofer with eighth and Chuck Butikofer with three.

Beau Beery led Circle with 21 points. Also reaching double figures were Hayden Lockie with 11 and Caleb Gackle with 10.

Bainville jumped out to a 14-10 advantage in the first quarter.

The game was deadlocked, 25-25, at intermission.

Bainville’s boys basketball team lost a tough 50-45 decision against the Richey/Lamber Fusion on Friday, Feb. 5.

The Bulldogs played very well early as they jumped out to a 21-12 advantage in the first quarter.

Bainville led 29-20 at the half and by a 37-28 margin after three quarters of play.

The Fusion exploded for 22 points in the final period for a 50-45 victory.

Top scorers for Bainville were Sam Butikofer with 14 and Jesse Strickland with 13 points.

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Kaden Hansen with eight, Braeden Romo with eight and Chuck Butikofer with two. Caleb Senner led the Fusion with 22 points. Wyatt Robbins added 12 and Grady Gonsioroski had seven points.
