Lustre Earns Victories Over Frazer
The Lustre Lions defeated Frazer in two conference basketball games held on Saturday, Feb. 6.
In the girls’ contest, Lustre earned a 64-17 victory.
The Lions took a 12-4 lead in the first quarter and led 31-11 at the half. Lustre accounted for 19 points in the third quarter for a 50-15 advantage.
Top scorers for Lustre were Aubri Holzrichter with 22 and Tiara Whitmus with 21 points.
Rounding out Lustre’s scoring were Alexa Reddig with 12, Ashley O’Hara with five and Grace Brown with four.
Evelyn Yellowhammer scored six points to lead Frazer.
Also scoring for the Bearcubs were Ameri Lorenz with four, Sharika Beston with three, Audrey Smoker with two and Angeline White with two.
Lustre’s boys won by a 73-27 final margin.
The Lions gained a 22-2 lead in the opening quarter. Lustre led 48-11 at the half. The Lions outscored Frazer by a 17-1 margin in the fourth period.
Top scorers for Lustre included Elijah Lenihan with 16 and Cayden Klatt with 15 points.
Also scoring were Kaleb Hoversland with eight, Jasiah Hambria with four and Gabe Alves with three. Adding two points each were Braden Ewing, Josh Brown, Braeden Toavs, Alex Chen and Bryan Chen.
Kevin Ackerman scored 15 points to lead Frazer. Also scoring were John Hotomanie with six, Joseph Bestin with five and Blue Fettig with one.
