Bainville Girls Lose To Savage Team
Bainville’s girls’ basketball team saw its season come to an end against Savage, 59-40, during the District 2C tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
The Bulldogs trailed by only an 11-10 margin at the end of the first quarter. Sadie Ullmer scored six of Bainville’s points in the first quarter.
Bainville led by a 19-18 margin in the second quarter until Savage struck for the final 11 points of the half for a 29-19 lead.
Elsie Wilson hit a shot to cut the margin to 29-21, but a three-pointer by Taryn Hagler put Savage up 32-21 at the half.
Savage led 44-24 at the end of the third quarter.
The Bulldogs closed the margin to as few as nine points before falling by the 59-40 final.
Wilson scored 19 points for the Bulldogs. Also scoring were Ullmer with eight, Tally Berwick with four, Brecklyn Pippenger with four, Kaitlyn Adkins with three and Lakyn Rabbe with two.
Savage’s top scorers were Hagler with 15, Teah Conradsen with 12 and Karley McPherson with 10 points.
