Lustre’s Boys Fall In Third-Place Game

Lustre Christian’s boys’ basketball squad was eliminated by Dodson, 56-42, during the District 3C tournament on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Dodson took a 15-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 29-22 half-time advantage.

The Lustre Lions stayed close but trailed by a 42-32 margin at the end of the third quarter.

Top scorers for the Lions were Cayden Kent with 17 and Elijah Lenihan with nine.

Also scoring were Kaleb Hoversland with five, Kolden Hoversland with four, Jasiah Hambria with four and Alex Chen with three.

Leading Dodson were Zarek Jones with 17, Julian Benson with 14 and Michael Jaynes with 12 points.

Dodson will face MonDak in the opening round of the Eastern C divisional tournament in Sidney.
