Lustre Girls Qualify For Divisional Tourney

Lustre Christian’s girls’ basketball team fought off Dodson, 51-49, to earn a berth at the Eastern C divisional tournament.

The Lions outscored Dodson by a 13-3 margin in the second quarter to gain a 26-17 half-time lead in the District 3C tournament’s third-place game.

Lustre led 37-30 at the end of the third quarter and held on for the victory.

Alexa Reddig scored 20 points to lead the Lions. Grace Brown and Ashley O’Hara added 10 points each.

Also scoring for Lustre were Aubri Holzrichter with five, Tiara Whitmus with five and Anna Teichroew with two.

Lustre will play Froid/Lake in the first round of the Eastern C divisional tournament that starts March 3, in Sidney.
