Man Faces Possession Of Drug Charges
Christian Alexander Perez has been arrested for the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, meth, a felony, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
He is scheduled to make his initial appearance in district court on April 14. Bond was set at $35,000.
If convicted on the felony charge, Perez faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of $5,000 or both. The maximum penalties for the misdemeanor charge are 6 months in jail, a $500 fine or both.
The arrest came after law enforcement allegedly discovered an illegal substance while conducting a traffic stop in Poplar on Feb. 28.
