Chamber Agrees To Sell Land To Business
The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture has agreed to sell about 15 acres of its BNSF property to Wolf Point Sand and Gravel.
Wolf Point Sand and Gravel will pay $30,000 to purchase the lots, located near the lumber yard, in order to expand its business.
After hearing a presentation from the company, the Chamber board unanimously approved the sale.
“Thank you for being willing to invest in the community,” Jeff Presser, board chairman, said. “That’s awesome.”
Some of the funds will be used to purchase paint for groups to paint over graffiti in the community.
Chamber officials discussed Clean-Up Wolf Point Days for April 22 to May 8. The chamber will work on cleaning Highway 2 on April 15, starting at 5 p.m. at Cenex Agland West.
People can pick up trash bags at High Plains Motors or the chamber of commerce office. The landfill will be open during regular hours and Sundays, April 22 and May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The City of Wolf Point will pick up large non-freon items set by the curbs (not alleys) on Monday, April 26, and Tuesday, April 27. There will be a charge for appliances with Freon taken to the landfill. Call the Wolf Point city office, 653-1852, if you have any questions.
The bridge dinner was tentatively planned to be held on the weekend of Sept. 10-11.
Possible new businesses coming to Wolf Point include meal items at the former Subs and Such building and multi-businesses at the former wellness center.
