Area Junior High Track Athletes Place During Meet In Glasgow


Area junior high track athletes placed during action in Glasgow on Saturday, April 17.
Wolf Point scored 12 points in the boys’ eighth-grade division and two points in the girls’ eighth-grade division.
Andrew Dschaak of Wolf Point finished second in the 400 and fourth in the 200-meter hurdles for eighthgrade boys. Brenna Blount finished sixth in the 400 and Ali Corpron took sixth in the shot put for eighth-grade girls.
Frontier scored seven points for sixth-grade boys, 20 points for seventh-grade boys, four points for eighthgrade boys, nine points for sixth-grade girls, one point for eighth-grade girls and 16 points for seventh-grade girls.
Jeff Deserly of Frontier took first in the shot put, second in the long jump and fifth in the discus for seventh-grade boys. Daniel Merisio took third in the discus for sixthgrade boys. The eighth-grade boys’ relay team of J. Deserly, Brady FourBear, Merisio and Damian Deserly finished fourth.
Kailayla Villaluz placed fourth in the 800 for sixthgrade girls. Baylee Hays took third and Kaylee Hays placed fourth in the shot put for seventh- grade girls. Francesca Crawford placed fourth in the discus for sixth-grade girls. Rachel Pew placed sixth in the triple jump for eighthgrade girls. Milayna Smoker- Dewitt finished sixth in the 400 for sixth-grade girls. The seventh-grade girls’ relay tam of Ania Merisio, Angela Gautam, B. Hays and Kailayla Villaluz finished third.
Poplar scored two points for seventh-grade boys, 3.33 points for eighth-grade boys and 18 points for seventh- grade girls.
Ivan Iron Cloud of Poplar placed fourth in the high jump for eighth-grade boys. Wilder Bear Cub took fifth in the 1600 for seventh-grade boys, Walker Burshia took sixth in the shot put for eighth-grade boys.
Precious Keiser earned first-place honors in the shot put for eighth-grade girls. Kacie Colgan took second in the 200-meter hurdles and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles for seventh-grade girls. Bailey Dupree finished third in the 200-meter hurdles for eighth-grade girls. Rebecca Gorder placed fourth in the discus for eighth-grade girls. Poplar’s girls’ seventh-grade relay team of Keiser, Dupree, Colgan and Gorder placed second.
Frazer scored four points for sixth-grade girls, Ellia Mail of Frazer finished fourth in the 400-meter dash for the sixth-grade girls’ division.
Lustre Christian scored 20 points for seventh-grade boys, 10 points for eighthgrade boys and one point for eighth-grade girls.
Diek Olfert of Lustre took first in the 800, third in the high jump and fourth in the 1600 for seventh-grade girls. Mason Hilkemann placed third in the shot put and fourth in the discus for eighth-grade boys.
Abby Olfert finished sixth in the 1600 and seventh for 200-meter hurdles for eighthgrade boys.
