Junior High Athletes Place At Track Meet
Junior high athletes from Bainville, Culbertson and Froid/Lake were among the participants at a track meet in Sidney on Thursday, April 22.
Bainville took fourth place with 57 points in the seventh- grade girls division, one point for seventh-grade boys and 34 points for eighthgrade girls. Hailey Berwick earned first in the 100, first in the 400, first in the high jump and second in the 200 for seventh-grade girls. Addy Hansen took second and Lila Butikofer placed third in the shot put for seventh- grade girls. Butikofer took fourth and Hansen was sixth in the discus.
Elsie Wilson placed first in the 100, first in the 200, third in the high jump and second in the 100-meter hurdles for eighth-grade girls.
Rowan Wilson placed sixth in the 800 for seventh-grade boys.
Culbertson scored 29 points for eighth-grade boys.
Bridger Salvevold placed second in the 400, fifth in the long jump and sixth in the 100. Reese Moon earned third in the 200. Both relays of Moon, Josh Firemoon, Trevor Miller and B. Salvevold and Moon, Miller, Will Salvevold and B. Salvevold finished third.
Froid/Lake scored 15 points for eighth-grade boys, 18 points for seventh-grade girls and four points for eighthgrade girls. Joseph Robertson placed second in the 800, third in the 400 and sixth in the 200 for eighth-grade boys.
Mara Salvevold took fourth in the 200 for eighth-grade girls.
Isabelle Nordwick finished fourth for seventh-grade girls. The relay team of Jordyn Breuer, Leah Murray, Nordwick and Keira Stentoft finished second in one relay and third in the 1600-meter relay.
