Bulldogs Enjoy Good Showing At District

The Bainville Bulldogs accounted for 19 points in the boys’ division and 11 points in the girls’ division at the District 2C track meet in Lambert on Tuesday, May 11.

Kaden Hansen, a senior, came through with a second- place showing in the shot put with a best of 42-09. He also placed third in the discus at 132-08.

Samuel Butikofer cleared 5-6 for second place in the high jump.

Carter Winn earned eighth place in the triple jump at 35-06. Drae Nelson finished eighth in the 3200 at 12:52.85.

The boys’ 1600-meter relay team of Winn, Samuel Butikofer, Reese Harmon and Nelson took eighth at 4:12.87.

Emma Poser, a junior, led Bainville’s girls by taking third in the 3200 at 13:55.53 and fifth in the 1600 at 6:17.86.

Kendra Romo, a freshman, earned fifth in the discus with a best of 80-07.

Micah Anderson placed sixth in the shot put at 30-0.
