Culbertson placed sixth in both the boys’ and girls’ division at the District 2C track meet in Lambert on Tuesday, May 11.

The Eastern C divisional meet is scheduled for Thursday, May 20, in Sidney.

Richey/Lambert’s boys won the district team title with 141 points. Plentywood placed second with 96 and Circle took third with 95 points. The Cowboys finished with 36 points.

Circle’s girls earned top honors with 110.5 points while Plentywood scored 90 points. Fairview and Savage tied for third with 78 points. The Cowgirls tallied 51 points.

Winning Phil Robinson Awards for top point scorers at the meet were Savage’s freshman Brooke Reuter, who took first in five events, and Richey/Lambert’s senior Caleb Senner.

Abbey Granbois led the Cowgirls’ efforts by clearing 5-2 in the high jump for first place and placing second in the long jump with a mark of 15-02.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Autumn Bergum, Makena Hauge, Megan Granbois and A. Granbois finished first with a time of 53.88 seconds.

Bergum, a junior, earned second in the triple jump at 29-08, fifth in the long jump at 14-05 and eighth in the 100 at 14.83 seconds.

Kayli Olson, a sophomore, finished fourth in the 3200 at 14:10.35 and eighth in the 800 at 2:57.30.

Hauge cleared 4-10 for third place in the high jump and M. Granbois cleared 4-8 for fifth place. Hauge took seventh in the long jump at 14-04.

Kenadee Kempton finished seventh in the 200 at 31.74 seconds. Destiny Thompson earned eighth in the discus at 72-02.

The 1600-meter relay team consisting of Kempton, Hauge, Granbois and Olson finished sixth with a time of 4:55.48.

Kobe Nickoloff led Culbertson’s boys by taking second in the long jump at 19-7, second in the javelin at 141-08 and placing eighth in the 200 at 25.41 seconds.

Colby Olson cleared 5-6 for second place in the high jump. The senior took fifth in the 400 at 57.11.

Justice Bengochea, a sophomore, earned fourth in the shot put at 40-10. Kyler Kempton took eighth in the shot put at 37-06, eighth in the javelin at 124-10 and seventh in the discus at 124-07.

Wyatt Snyder finished sixth in the 200 at 25.33 seconds. James Kirkaldie took seventh at the 1600 at 5:24.69 and seventh in the high jump by clearing 5-2.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Snyder, Nickoloff, Kempton and Payton Perkins finished fourth in 47.88 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team consisting of Olson, Kirkaldie, Perkins and Snyder placed fourth at 3:54.58.
