Bridges Joins Wolf Point Police Force
Eric Bridges likes the Wolf Point community as he serves as an officer for the Wolf Point Police Department.
Bridges came from Salem, Ore., to begin his police duties in Wolf Point on May 17. He explains he was looking for a law enforcement career and found an advertisement regarding the Wolf Point position.
“I mailed my application directly here,” Bridges said.
Wolf Point Chief of Police Jeff Harada said that Bridges’ application stood out.
“We selected officer Bridges based on his application and his prior military service in the Marine Corps,” Harada said.
Bridges served four years in the Marine Corps, including one deployment in Iraq.
“I like it,” Bridges said of Wolf Point. “It’s a lot smaller area than where I used to live.”
He and his girlfriend have recently purchased a home in the area.
Outside of work, Bridges enjoys making music. He went to school to become a music producer, but he hasn’t done live performances since COVID hit.
Harada says this is the first time that the police department has been fully staffed in at least one and a half years.
“We’re excited about the energetic, positive, motivated new officers we have,” Harada said. “We’re looking forward to having new police officers in our family at the Wolf Point Police Department.”
