RMC Welcomes New Radiology Supervisor
Shayne Dollarhide has joined Roosevelt Medical Center’s medical team as the new radiology supervisor. She has over 41 years of experience and is licensed in computerized tomography, mammography and X-ray and has also worked in transcription, performed magnetic resonance imaging and bone density Dexa scans.
“I have always enjoyed working in small communities. I think people appreciate a familiar face when they are seeking care,” she said.
For the past five years she has been working as a traveling technologist and has worked in a number of states including Hawaii, and California and spent the last year in Kodiak, AK. In Montana, she worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital for most of the last 25 years. It’s also where she received her formal training through their internal licensing program right out of high school.
“One of the first things I noticed when I got to Culbertson was how neat and tidy the baseball field was,” she recalled. Dollarhide has always enjoyed being outdoors and some of her favorite activities include golfing and skiing. She also enjoys sewing and used to do alterations as a hobby. She also has a passion for technology and admits that she often has multiple devices going at once throughout her home. “It’s a really big deal in my house if we do not have internet access,” she laughed.
Dollarhide returned to Montana recently to be closer to family after her husband Larry suffered a brain injury. “I really can’t wait to put pictures up on the walls at our new apartment and create that cozy feel of home, she said.” A number of her family members also work in the medical field including her sister and daughter who are both technologists and her son who is a paramedic and military veteran.
Dollarhide grew up in Rygate and together with her husband has four grown children and four great grandchildren. She replaces Lisa Rutledge, the previous supervisor, who left the area to become a traveling technologist.
