Sherlock Holmes Farce Opens FPST

Baskerville opens Friday, July 16, at Fort Peck Summer Theatre, completing the trio of rotating productions this season, along with The Spitfire Grill and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.

Playwright Ken Ludwig ( Lend Me A Tenor) turns the classic stories of Sherlock Holmes upside down in this fast paced who-dunnit comedy, starring Treyson Sherk as the famous detective and Mathias Oliver as trusty sidekick Watson.

According to Fort Peck Fine Arts Council executive director Jennifer Fewer, the show employs multiple accents, challenging physicality and “lightning-quick-costume- changes.” Shy Iverson, Calvin Pierce and Megan Wiltshire each play multiple other characters (totaling nearly 100). Darren Green plays Foley Artist.

“Baskerville marks the much anticipated return of director/choreographer Heather Adams,” said Fewer. Her performances previous FPST productions include Always, Patsy Cline, Mary Poppins and The Music Man.

Regular performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m., but please visit fortpecktheatre. org for rotating performance schedule. Also look for special 2 p.m. Saturday matinees. For tickets and more information www.fortpecktheatre. org or call 406526-9943.

The 2021 continues with Godspell July 28–31 and Terms Of Endearment Aug. 20–Sept. 5.
