Heather Ann Jones

Heather Ann Jones, age 34, of Poplar, Montana, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021 in Great Falls, Montana. Heather was born on June 7, 1987, to Betty Martin and Darrell Moses Jones. Our beloved Heather Ann went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and a happy reunion with all loved ones in heaven.

Heather went to school in Poplar, Montana and graduated from Poplar High School. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was 17 years old, which prevented her from working. She was a homemaker and a loving mom. She liked going for walks, watching Disney movies, play cards and games, and just being together. Heather looked forward to the family gatherings we had for birthdays, mother’s day, and holiday dinners. She like to talk about when they were all growing, old happy times, tease and laugh, what Grandma and Grandpa didn’t find out with her first cousins. She attended the Pentecostal Church since she was young and enjoyed going to Sunday school.

Heather’s role as a mom began when she gave birth to her daughter, Mia Jones and son, Darrell Jones. She married Cory Youpee and from this union, Joseph Youpee was born. They later divorced. Heather met Eugene Longee and from this union, Miracle Vee Jones was born. At the present time, her loving companion was Luke Follet, from Wolf Point, Montana.

Heather is survived by her sister, Christine “Tina” Jones, of New England, North Dakota; her sons, Darrell Moses Jones and Joseph Youpee; her daughters, Mia Jones, and Miracle Calkin; grandmothers, Vivian Jones, Louella Contrerez, Melissa Cantrell, Rose Morsette, Agnes Ward, and Donna Follet; aunts, DeAnna (Sam) Red Star, Earlene (Michael J) Ackerman, Marta Jones, and Bernice Martin; uncles, William (Nancy) Jones, Sylvester (Patty) Martin, and David (Thelma) Smith; cousins, Myles (Cassie) Jones, Brent Jones, Duran Taylor, Mathew (Adrianna) Black Thunder, Earl and William Jones, Lawrence, Thomas, Lewis, Billy Youngman, Richard Eagleman, Raina and Samilynn Red Star, Roxanne Eagleman, and Carrie Martin.

Heather is preceded in death by her parents; grandfather, Earl Jones; her Granny Laverne Two Hearts; grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Martin; and uncle Earl “Chubbs” Jones.

Heather Jones, age 34, of Poplar, passed away on July 11, 2021 in Great Falls, Montana. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Poplar Cultural Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery.
