Be Aware of Scams When Getting Vaccination

If anyone asks you to pay for access to a COVID-19 vaccine, you can bet it’s a scam. Don’t share your personal or financial information if someone calls, texts, or emails you promising access to a vaccine for an extra fee.

COVID-19 vaccination providers cannot: Charge you for a vaccine Charge you directly for any administration fees, copays, or coinsurance Deny vaccination to anyone who does not have health insurance coverage, is underinsured, or is out of network Charge an office visit or other fee to the recipient if the only service provided is a COVID-19 vaccination Require additional services in order for a person to receive a COVID-19 vaccine; however, additional healthcare services can be provided at the same time and billed as appropriate Area Statistics

As of Sunday, July 25, Roosevelt County has three active case and no current hospitalizations. There have been 56 COVID-related deaths reported in the county.

As of Monday, July 26, Valley County’s active count was two cases. There have been 904 total cases and 18 reported COVID-reported deaths.

Daniels County had one active case as of Tuesday, July 27. The county has 191 recovered cases and 200 cumulative cases. Eight deaths have occurred due to COVID-19 and/or complications.

In McCone County, there are no active cases as of Monday, July 26. There are 181 recovered cases. There have been two COVID-related deaths in the county.

Phillips County has zero active cases as of Monday, July 26. There have been 515 recovered cases and 16 COVID-related deaths.

For Richland County, there were six active cases and 1,239 recovered cases as of Monday, July 26. Total COVID-related deaths are 18. There have been 1,263 total cases.

Statewide

According to Montana health officials, the state’s total number of known cases now stands at 115,406 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 1,487,703 tests conducted.

Around the state, there are 820 active cases. There are 90 active hospitalizations. By Monday, July 26, a total of 1,695 deaths have been reported statewide. A total of 112,891 people have recovered.

Though there is no state mask mandate, local jurisdictions may still choose to implement their own mask requirements. Gov. Gianforte emphasized how providing incentives and encouraging personal responsibility are more effective than imposing unenforceable government mandates.

Vaccine Doses

In Roosevelt County, 6,098 total doses have been administered. There have been 3,035 or 36 percent fully immunizations.

As of Monday, July 26, 888,482 total doses have been administered in Montana. There are 440,754 or 48 percent fully immunized Montanans.
