Motorcycle Crash Claims One West Of Plentywood

Kevin Gene Olson, 53, died as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash west of Plentywood on Highway 5 West. Olson’s body was found at about 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28. He was reported missing on July 26, according to the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office.

Olson left his hometown on a motorcycle trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota and was last seen Saturday. An air search was conducted with the use of cell phone locator data. The Montanan Highway Patrol reports that Olson failed to negotiate a curve in the road and drove off the north side of the road and clipped a post. The motorcycle continued through a ditch for about 560 feet before it came to rest. The investigation is ongoing.
