Car Show Part Of Froid’s Celebration

One of the highlights of Froid’s all-school reunion is expected to be a car show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, across from the Froid Community Center.

“It’s everything from antique cars to muscle cars to new cars,” organizer Gale Strandlund said.

He anticipates about 15-20 vehicles in the show. He has received interest from people in Culbertson, Glendive, Froid and Plentywood.

“The committee brought it up and asked me if I would want to do it,” said Strandlund, who has attended several car shows. “I’m a muscle car guy.”

He is a little anxious of conducting his first car show, but he feels the visitors to Froid will appreciate the display.

“I’m keeping my fingers crossed,” he said.

There is no entry fee and door prizes will be given. Votes will be counted for people’s choice.

There are vehicles from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s already registered for the show.
