The 2021 Roosevelt County Fair concluded Saturday, Aug. 14, at 3 p.m. The final day of events included an open livestock show, “money in the straw,” inflatables for the kids and a ranch rodeo at the Culbertson Saddle Club.
“We are thankful for not only being able to move forward and have a fair, but to have the turnout and support from the communities in Roosevelt County,” said Roosevelt County fair manager Angela Miller. Miller told the Community News that indoor exhibits in particular showcased local talents.
“It was nice to see families out experiencing the fair and taking in the activities offered,” she said. “I love seeing faces year after year and how these families appreciate that even while small, this fair is here to celebrate our communities and their families. I love when people take it in.”
Volunteer superintendents for this year’s fair were Kellan Standley (livestock), Keith Nordlund (sheep/ goats), Tana Berwick (horse, small animal), Tanya Wilson (swine) and Carol Hackley (4-H indoor). This year’s fair board included Andy Ullmer (Froid), Scott Savelkoul (Culbertson), Phyllis Sethre (Wolf Point), vice-chair Keith Nordlund (Froid) and chairperson Dana Salivar (Bainville).
