School Asks For Input Regarding Health Plan
The Wolf Point School District is encouraging public input regarding the emergency operation team’s health plan.
Residents are urged to go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ YL586K2 to complete the survey. A link is available on the school’s website.
Results will be submitted to the Emergency Operations Team and local health officials.
The current plan asks that individuals stay away from school if they are showing symptoms of COVID-19, they have been quarantined or if they or a family member is awaiting COVID-19 test results.
Masks are optional and will be available at the school. School officials encourage no discrimination to either party and strive to make a positive climate for all. All schools returned to on-site instruction. There will be no remote learning options. All alternative learning options will be the same as prior to COVID. Social distancing will be encouraged by students and staff when possible per CDC guidelines.
School nutrition (breakfast and lunch) will return to “normal” pre-COVID, with attention to increased cleaning and sanitizing. Water foundations will be returned to pre-COVID usage, both fountains and water bottle fill ups. Students are strongly encouraged to bring transparent water bottles to be kept at the schools.
Playground equipment will be open for all students. The custodial staff will disinfect daily, weather permitting. All schools will return to the use of lockers and/or cubbies.
As far as social and emotional and behavioral elements, all students will have access to school counselors, mental health providers and therapists upon existing cases and referrals via regular processes. All schools will continue the use of the Social Emotional Learning Program called HOWL (Helping Outstanding Wolves to Lead) to reengage students into the rigor of face-to-face instruction.
