Runners Place As Team In Scobey
The Culbertson/Bainville squad placed fifth in the boys’ team standings at the cross country meet in Scobey on Thursday, Sept. 9.
Culbertson/Bainville finished with 38 points. The Richey/Lambert Fusion took first with 12 points followed by Poplar with 20 and Scobey with 24 points.
Drae Nelson led the way by taking 10th place at 22:23.64. Wyatt Snyder finished 11th at 22:42.54.
Dawson Bergum earned 17th place at 23:23.43. Isaiah Bighorn placed 23rd at 24:45.85.
Trevor Green took 25th with a time of 26:24.29. Maurie Bighorn was 26th at 26:30.76.
Matthew Ellerton of Richey/Lambert was the individual winner with a time of 19:23.14.
In the girls’ division, Culbertson/ Bainville placed fourth in the team standings with 38 points. Poplar won top honors with 17 points followed by Scobey with 23 points.
Leading Culbertson/Bainville was Kayli Olson with a time of 24:01.74 for ninth place.
Emma Poser finished 12th at 26:33.18. Autumn Bergum took 13th at 26:35.51.
Destiny Thompson placed 17th at 27:15.09. Megan Granbois was 22nd at 28:29.83.
Plentywood’s Annie Kaul was the individual champion with a time of 20:56.79.
The Glasgow Invitational in Fort Peck is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, starting at 10 a.m.
