Felony Forgery Charge Added In Kust Case
Jason Kust, 49, of Wolf Point is now facing the additional felony charge of forgery.
Kust entered a not guilty plea to the charge of possession with intent to distribute dangerous drugs during a hearing in district court on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
If convicted of the drug charge, maximum penalties are 20 years in prison, a $50,000 fine or both Kust is charged with having 2 ounces of meth in his possession when he was arrested on Aug. 5. The street value, if broken down into common ÂĽ-gram sales increments, is approximately $13,000.
He also allegedly had $6,300 in counterfeit $100 bills in his possession.
The forgery charge was added on Sept. 1.
If convicted of the forgery charge, maximum penalties are a $50,000 fine, 20 years in jail or both.
