Zilkoski Rees Joins Teaching Staff At Frontier

Marianne E. Zilkoski Rees has joined the teaching staff at Frontier Elementary School in Wolf Point after coaching, driving bus, serving as athletic director and a paraprofessional since 2012.
She said she was inspired to teach by a class of fifth graders at the school.
“It was those kids, many of whom graduated from Wolf Point High School in 2021, who inspired me,” she said.
Zilkoski Rees said her hobbies include coaching, scrapbooking and organizing basketball and soccer camps and tournaments. Her favorite part of teaching is “learning something new everyday,” she said.
Frontier superintendent Christine Eggar told the Northern Plains Independent,
“She [Zilkoski Rees] began driving bus for Frontier seven years ago as a part time gig while being a stay at home mom for her three boys. About four years ago, she began taking classes online, slowly whittling away her at her degree while gaining another son. All her hard work paid off as she graduated this spring with a K-8 endorsement and is teaching full time at Frontier this fall.”
Eggar added that Zilkoski Rees was in her fifth-grade class at the school during her first year teaching social studies at Frontier.
