Commissioners Approve Bid From Bishop Inc. For Gravel
The Roosevelt County commissioners approved a bid from Bishop Inc. for gravel during a meeting held on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
The county received bids from three different companies.
Fike Crushing’s bid was 13,500 tons of one-inch minus crushed gravel for the amount of $4.50 per ton for the Schagunn Pitt. Total bid was $60,750.
The bid from Bishop was 13,500 tons of one-inch minus crushed gravel in the amount of $3.50 per ton with a $10,000 mobilization fee for the Schagunn Pit. Total bid was $57,250.
Century Companies’ bid was 13,500 tons of one-inch minus crushed gravel in the amount of $4.65 per ton with a $5,000 mobilization fee for the Schagunn pit. Total bid was $67,775.
Commissioner Duane Nygaard made a motion to approve Bishop’s bid. Commissioner Gordon Oelkers seconded the motion, which was passed by a 2-0 margin.
