Fireman’s Ball Set For October 9
It has been a challenging year for the Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department. With the severe drought in eastern Montana, calls and the volunteers’ dedication were at a very high rate.
Area residents can display their support for the fire department by attending the 106th fireman’s ball on Saturday, Oct. 9. A limited number of tickets remain. For information on ticket availability, contact any local firefighter.
“It is our main fundraiser,” Wolf Point fire chief Clint Bushman said. “This year, with COVID being such a nuisance, we scaled back some of our usual ball activities including our silent auction that we usually have.”
The event, scheduled to take place at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center, will have happy hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. DJ Pippin will provide music. Dance and karaoke is from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The meal will feature a flat iron steak, three shrimp tails, a baked potato and a side salad.
Tickets for the fundraiser drawing are available for a grand prize trip for four to Las Vegas, Nev., that includes four days, three nights, round-trip airfare and $500 spending cash or an equal cash value. Second place is $1,000 cash and third place is $500 cash.
