Montana Shakespeare in the Parks has been touring since 1973 with a mission to interact directly with the people of Montana and the surrounding states. In 1993, Shakespeare in the Schools was launched.

The Shakespeare in the Schools program has grown to include more than 50 schools and serve more than 10,000 students. The tour includes most of Montana as long with a little of Idaho and Washington.

Along with Wolf Point, the tour had stops in Sidney, Plentywood, Scobey and Pine Hills Youth Correctional Center last week.

Program organizers note that the play deals with themes of rumors and misinformation, facts vs. fiction, questions of who we believe and why and how hurt people can hurt people. Students are asked how they respond when they are confronted with a rumor about someone else or even themselves? How do they evaluate what is true? How do they rebuild trust after a conflict?

The play included actors and actresses from Chicago, Ill.; Minneapolis, Minn.; California; Detroit, Mich.; Wisconsin; and South Dakota.
