Red Hawks Stop Jordan
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored 26 points in the first quarter and earned a 45-6 conference football victory in Jordan on Friday, Oct. 8.
The Red Hawks led by a 39-0 margin at intermission.
Froid/Lake Coach Michael Reiter was happy with how the team’s younger players competed in Jordan. “Their growth from week 3-4 until now has been pretty good. I was really pleased with that.”
Froid/Lake jumped ahead on a 40-yard run by quarterback Mason Dethman. Froid/ Lake then scored on a 25-yard pass play from Dethman to Javonne Nesbit.
Ashdyn Hobbs returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown. He also scored on a 15- yard run in the contest.
The Red Hawks reached the end zone on a 50-yard pass from Dethman to Connor Huft.
Daniel Forizs then caught a short pass and took it the distance for a touchdown.
“He ran real well,” Reiter said.
