Valerie Todd

Valerie Ann WarClub Todd, 68, of Brockton died Sept. 30, 2021.

She was born on June 21, 1953, to Virgil WarClub and Maude L. White Horse in Poplar. She was raised by her grandmother Lucille Powell Left Hand Thunder until the age of 15. She then went to live with Pauline and Chiefy Boxer for many years.

She married Darrell K. Todd Sr. on June 29, 1990. They were married for many years until his death. Together, they decided to become foster parents, taking in her nieces and nephews Melody, Waverly, Merlino, Wayan and Randon Bear. She loved each and every one of them like her own. She also loved adopted sons, Rodney “Jack” Drum, Jack Crawford and Merlino Bear, Wayan and Randon Bear.

She never missed a family gathering and loved visiting and drinking coffee with her cousin John Spotted Bird. She also loved to cruise and listen to music and walks out to the badlands.

She had a hand in raising all her grandchildren, especially Vangie (Johnathan) RunsThrough, Laney Boadle and Kiera Bear.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
