Missing Man Found Dead On South Side

John Grandchamp III, 22, of Wolf Point, has been found dead on the 300 block of Edgar Street on Wolf Point’s south side.

According to Roosevelt County Undersheriff John Summers, Grandchamp was last seen Nov. 6. He was reported missing by his family, who believed he was in danger. Foul play is not suspected.

The Wolf Point Police Department received a report of a dead body on the 300 block of Edgar Street Monday, Nov. 18, at 11:37 a.m., according to Wolf Point Police Lieutenant Brian Erwin.

An autopsy has been ordered, Summers stated.

Wolf Point Police Department, Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded.

Fort Peck Tribes’ criminal investigator Ken Trottier is leading the investigation. He could not be reached for comment.

A wake will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the new Community Hall in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. at the new Community Hall in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
