Haunted House Planned Oct. 30
The Nakona Dakota Oyate Youth Council and the Spotted Bull Recovery Resource Center are offering a haunted house from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Poplar Rodeo Grounds Quonset.
Admission is a canned food which will be donated to the Lord’s Table.
Carrie Manning, advisor for the NDO group, says the group has held a haunted forest in the past, but this is the first attempt of having a haunted house.
“It’s going to be spooky,” Manning said.
The family friendly event is open to all ages.
NDO consists of high school students from throughout the reservation and also features a few Culbertson students.
“It’s open to anybody,” Manning said. “It’s understandable if they miss a meeting or two.”
The group meets every other week at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Spotted Bull Recovery Center in Poplar.
Also on Oct. 30-31, the Creator’s Game Horsemanship Clinic and Rodeo School is scheduled at the Poplar Rodeo Grounds with registration at 9 a.m. each day.
