JMG Hosts Sponsor A Child Drive

Culbertson, Glasgow, Nashua and Scobey Jobs for Montana Graduates are participating in an effort to put together totes for children heading into foster care. Their goal is to be able to present a total of 20 totes with suggested supplies to the Department of Public Health and Human Services offices in Glasgow and Wolf Point.

“Janice Rorvik from Nashua contacted us last year to see if we would want to collaborate with them on this project,” said Culbertson’s Mary Machart. “The students and community were eager to help out. In the past, we have done many activities for young kids all over. However this opens a door for everyone to help out locally, which happens to be what makes this area so special.”

“This year,” said Machart, “Nashua has included Scobey and Glasgow JMG along with Culbertson’s JMG to do what we can to help out those who find themselves in a tough spot during anytime of the year.”

The drive for supplies is open through Dec. 10. Items needed include toothbrushes/ toothpaste, small flashlights, mouthwash, deodorant, pacifiers, hats and ear muffs, stuffed animals, coloring books, combs/brushes, floss, fleece blankets, water bottles, perfume/cologne, journals, chapstick, nightlights, baby wipes, lotion, gloves, diapers and pens/ pencils.

To donate, contact Mary Machart at 406-787-6241.
