Black Friday deals are a top draw for shoppers looking to save money and get a jumpstart on holiday shopping. In a survey from the International Council of Shopping Centers, more than 34 percent of respondents indicated they plan to shop on Black Friday. However, many others are just as eager to begin shopping even earlier. In recent years, some stores have begun to open their doors to shoppers on Thanksgiving evening. The consulting firm Deloitte LLP found that 26 percent of American shoppers plan to shop online on Thanksgiving.
