Red Hawks Outscore Bainville Boys

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored 22 second-quarter points and downed Bainville, 76-57, on Saturday, Dec. 4.

After leading by a 16-13 margin at the end of the first quarter, the Red Hawks increased the gap to 38-23 at the half. Tyler Wivholm scored eight points including two three-pointers in the second period. Brett Stentoft added seven points.

Froid/Lake struck for 18 points in the third quarter for a 56-39 advantage. B. Stentoft scored seven in the quarter.

Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Mason Dethman with 24, B. Stentoft with 20 and Wivholm with 16.

Also scoring were Javonne Nesbit with six, Connor Huft with six, Nate Stentoft with two and Patton Bighorn with two.

Leading the Bulldogs were Jesse Strickland with 23 and Chuck Butikofer with 10 points. Also scoring were Sam Butikofer with nine, Braeden Romo with eight, Ayden Knudsen with five and Reid Anderson with two.

Froid/Lake will compete at the Shelby Tournament during the weekend. Bainville travels to Plentywood on Thursday, Dec. 9.
