Bulldogs Fall Short At Plentywood

Bainville’s boys’ basketball team lost a close game at Plentywood, 64-53, on Thursday, Dec. 9.

The Bulldogs led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter but trailed 32-25 at the half.

Bainville cut the margin to 43-37 in the third quarter.

Top scorers for the Bulldogs included Jesse Strickland with 15, Braeden Romo with 13 and Samuel Butikofer with 12 points.

Alex Strickland added eight and Ayden Knudsen finished with three points.

Reese Wirtz was Plentywood’s top scorer with 29 points. Easton Tommerup added 12 points.

In the girls’ contest, Plentywood earned a 73-36 victory.

The Wildcats took a 26-4 lead in the first quarter and led 38-14 at intermission.

Elsie Wilson scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs.

Also scoring for Bainville were Tally Berwick with six, Lakyn Rabbe with five, Kaitlyn Adkins with three and Kendra Romo with three.

Liv Wangerin accounted for 27 of Plentywood’s points. Ashtyn Curtiss scored 17, Annie Kaul and Emma Brensdal added 10 points each.

The Bulldogs will host Culbertson on Friday, Dec. 17, and Richey/Lambert on Saturday, Dec. 18.
