Froid/Lake Boys Defeat Brockton In League Action
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks outscored Brockton by a 75-39 final during boys’ basketball action in Brockton on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Froid/Lake earned a 34-7 lead in the game’s first quarter. The Red Hawks ran off the last 16 points of the period on nine points by Tyler Wivholm, four points by Javonne Nesbit and a three-pointer by Connor Huft.
Froid/Lake led by a 42-18 half-time margin. The Red Hawks added 19 points in the third quarter for a 61-28 advantage.
Leading the Red Hawks were Wivholm and Nesbit with 17 points each. Patton Bighorn also reached double figures with 13 points.
Rounding out the scoring were Huft with eight, Mason Dethman with six, Nate Stentoft with four, Daniel Forizs with three, Landen Kelm with three, Austen Hobbs with two and Max Engelke with two.
Dethman finished with six steals. Nesbit had six rebounds and two steals.
Brockton’s top scorers were Kameron Rattling Thunder with nine, Quannah First That Walks with eight and Wambidi Yellow Hammer with eight.
Also scoring were QuinnDale Pretty Paint with six, Blair Stump with six and Alex Bull Calf with two.
Stump grabbed 10 rebounds for the Warriors.
