Speech And Drama Heads To Forsyth

Culbertson’s speech and drama team traveled to Forsyth over the weekend to compete in Forsyth’s “Take 22” invitational tournament. Twenty-six class A, B, and C schools from across the eastern half of the state braved challenging weather forecasts as well as dodgy road reports so they could gather for the first official meet of 2022.

Placing and earning sweepstakes points from Culbertson were the following: Trevor Green took first place in informative speaking, Eric Chilson placed seventh in informative speaking, Morgan Lucas took seventh in memorized public address and Joseph McCarty tied for 10th place in humorous oral interpretations. The team placed second overall in the class C speech sweepstakes.

The last invitational tournament of the season will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, in Fairview.
