Red Hawks Sweep Non-Conference Contests Against Frazer Squads


Froid/Lake swept both home basketball contests against Frazer on Saturday, Jan. 22.
In the boys’ game, the Red Hawks won by an 80-12 final.
Froid/Lake gained a 32-4 lead in the first quarter. Mason Dethman and Javonne Nesbit each scored 11 points in the opening quarter.
The Red Hawks increased the margin to 54-7 in the second period. Ashdyn Hobbs hit seven points in the quarter.
Top scorers were Nesbit and Dethman with 11 points each.
Also scoring were Hobbs with nine, Bode Miller with eight, Tyler Wivholm with eight, Landen Kelm with six, Brett Stentoft with six, Patton Bighorn with five, Max Engelke with four, Nate Stentoft with three, Austen Hobbs with three, Caden Kelm with two, Daniel Forizs with two and Joseph Robertson with two.
Scoring for Frazer were Jonathan Jackson with five, Ty Four Star with four and Ryker Ackerman with three.
In the girls’ game, Froid/ Lake earned a 56-33 non-conference victory. After leading by a 14-9 margin at the end of the first quarter, the Red Hawks increased the gap to 25-15 at the half.
Froid/Lake accounted for 21 points in the third quarter for a 46-24 advantage.
Reaching double figures for Froid/Lake were Baylee Davidson with 13, Carolyne Christoffersen with 13 and Mara Salvevold with 12 points.
Rounding out the scoring were Missouri Kalal with six, Dasani Nesbit with four, Meg Ator with four, Addison Elvsaas with three and Jaeleigh Davidson with one.
Angel Nelligan led the Bearcubs with 10 points. Also scoring were Bailey Beston with nine, Audrey Smoker with five, Isabelle Even with three and Leigha Smoker with two.
