Wolf Point Boys Drop Contest Against Malta
The Wolf Point Wolves suffered a 68-38 boys’ basketball defeat at Malta on Saturday, Jan. 22.
The first-place Mustangs jumped out to a 21-6 advantage in the first quarter and held a 42-15 half-time lead.
Malta held a 65-26 advantage after three quarters of play.
Top scorers for the Wolves were Juliun Benson with nine and Corey Martell with eight points.
Jaxon Azure, Kelby Bauer and Ethan Blount added five points each. Also scoring were Jack Sprague with four and Forrest Demont with two.
Rex Williamson pumped in 24 points to lead the Mustangs. Bohdi Brenden scored 11 and Stockton Oxarart had nine points.
The Wolves will host Sidney on Thursday, Jan. 27, and head to Glasgow on Friday, Jan. 28.
