Cowgirls Hold Off Froid/Lake, 45-40

The Culbertson Cowgirls fought off Froid/Lake, 45-40, in conference action held on Friday, Feb. 4.

Ahead 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, the Cowgirls increased their advantage to 23-12 in the second quarter.

The Red Hawks scored 15 points in the third quarter to get back into the contest at 30-27 during the third quarter.

Megan Granbois led the Cowgirls with 19 points.

Destiny Thompson finished with 14 points and Makena Hauge scored 12 points including two threepoint shots. Leading Froid/Lake was Baylee Davidson with 19 points. She hit six three-pointers during the contest.

Also scoring for the Red Hawks were Mara Salavold with six, Carolyne Christoffersen with five, Brooklynn Nordwick with four, Dasani Nesbit with two and Meg Ator with two.
