Sara Harmon hosted a pop-up event at the Wild Calf Coffee roasting facility in Bainville Feb. 12. Valentine’s themed sweets and handmade treats were on offer from Confections by Leona and gifts were available from Chris Traeger’s Of The Earth Jewelery. All three women are based in Bainville.

Caffeinated beverages and supplies were the main event Saturday. Wild Calf won high honors at the Montana Beverage Show in August, where the company received a Governor’s Choice Award for Best in Hand-Crafted Beverages (non-alcoholic).

Along with husband Dustin, Harmon has been developing a tasting room and meeting space to host events. The pop-up event marks the third at the location since Thanksgiving. Harmon said more events will be scheduled in the future. She said that once the space is finished, it will be available for scheduled use by groups and small businesses.

Harmon said the company has been operating since 2018. At present, she has introduced Wild Calf at 15 grocery stores and outlets in the west, including Reynold’s and Murdoch’s. There are 14 coffee shops and stands serving Wild Calf espresso, including The Loaded Toad in Glasgow and Jitter’z in Wolf Point, as well as locations in Scobey and Williston, N.D.

The Harmons are currently developing a chocolate flavored ready-to-drink coffee beverage, which they hope to have available soon. Their specially roasted coffees range from light to dark roasts and are available via subscription and area stores. Harmon said the company ships all over the U.S.
