Tribes Change COVID Health Orders

The Fort Peck Tribes announced new health orders after the regulations were passed by the tribal health board on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

Changes includes that tribal casinos can now operate at 100 percent capacity. All patrons and employees must wear a mask at all times and machines must be sanitized between each use.

A curfew is no longer in effect. Masks are required of all individuals over the age of 5 while indoors. Masks are recommended while outdoors but are not mandated. Masks may be removed when consuming food or drinks or for identification purposes.

Tribal community halls and cultural centers will be open for all events at full capacity as long as everyone wears a mask at all times.

Tribal travel will open up to only vaccinated individuals and groups. Emergency sick leave will no longer for available for tribal employees. COVID food boxes will no longer be available to those in quarantine.

All departments shall temperature check their employees. If any employee has a fever of more than 100.4 degrees, the employee must be sent home. All departments and employees are encouraged to continue to minimize direct contact with other tribal employees and the public.

Any outside entity doing business on the Fort Peck Reservation must be fully vaccinated for COVID, unless they can provide medical documentation stating they are unable to receive the vaccine.
