Lady Wolves Cruise Over Glendive
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team rolled to a 50-17 non-conference victory at Glendive on Friday, Feb. 11.
The Lady Wolves gained an 11-4 lead in the first quarter. Hamyanie Campbell scored five points in the period.
J’Elle Garfield scored the first five points of the second quarter. Wolf Point went on to lead 28-12 at the half.
Wolf Point accounted for the opening 10 points of the third quarter and enjoyed a 42-14 advantage at the end of the period.
Garfield and Josie Kolstad led Wolf Point with 11 points each. Campbell finished with nine points.
Also scoring were Sierra Hamilton with six, Jaylee Azure with five, Haidyn Raining Bird with four, Katelyn MacDonald with two and KJ St. Marks with two.
Wolf Point Coach Frank Benson said Azure had a big night as far as assists, rebounds and defensively.
“She was all over the place,” Benson said.
