Crain Faces Three Felony Charges

 

Trevor Levi Crain of Culbertson is facing four charges including three felonies after a search of his property took place in late February.

Crain has been charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs, meth, two counts of endangering the welfare of children and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Maximum penalties for the criminal possession of dangerous drugs charge are 5 years in prison, a fine of $5,000 or both. Maximum penalties for the endangering the welfare of children charges are 5 years in prison, a $10,000 fine or both.

According to court documents, a deputy observed Crain at a Culbertson bar/ restaurant on Feb. 25. Based on Crain’s release from district court, he was required to provide a breath sample to determine if he’s been drinking. Crain agreed and provided the sample that showed no alcohol consumption.

The deputy then advised Crain that he wanted to search his person and residence in accordance with his release conditions. At that point, Crain become uncooperative and refused the search. He was taken into custody.

During the search of Crain’s residence, the deputy discovered a .22 rifle, a large knife and several items of drug paraphernalia including four meth pipes, a digital scale and baggies with meth residue.
