Man Dies Following Stabbing

A 23-year-old man died Tuesday, Feb. 8, following a stabbing on Wolf Point’s south side.

The victim has been identified by family and friends as Clayton White. His obituary appears on page five.

The Wolf Point Police Department reported that their officers, along with Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice officers, responded to a reported stabbing on the 300 block of Helena Street at approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8. Upon arrival, they found the victim who had been stabbed outside a residence.

White was transported via ambulance to Northeast Montana Health Services, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice is in charge of the investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has also been notified.

“The FBI, along with the Fort Peck Tribes, is investigating the death of an adult male in Wolf Point on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022,” Sandra Barker of the FBI responded to an email request.
