Wolf Point Food Bank To Reopen

Local officials received approval from the Montana Food Bank Network on Wednesday, March 23, to reopen the Wolf Point Food Bank.

The local food bank has been closed for several months for reorganization.

Organizers expect the first shipment of food to arrive in April and are hopeful that distribution can begin the third or fourth week of April. The board of directors are Pastor Arch Woodstock as chairperson, Gary Johnson as treasurer and Sandy Woodstock as secretary. To operate properly, this non-profit group in Wolf Point will rely on volunteers from the community. Assistance will be needed to unload food on arrival, fill boxes for distribution and help with distribution of food to families in Wolf Point. The governing board of the local food bank could also use your help and input.

To assist in providing volunteers, the group has partnered with Volunteers in Action Montana. It’s a great organization that is able to lend a hand in many ways to provide the best service possible.
