Wolves Place At Glasgow Meet


Wolf Point’s track team proved that the Wolves will again be strong in distance runs this boys’ track season.
Seniors Ethan Blount and Kholby SpottedWolf each turned in impressive performances during the Glasgow Invitational on Friday, April 1. Blount finished first in the 3200 with a time of 10:46.06 and second in the 1600 at 5:05.99. SpottedWolf placed second in the 3200 at 10:56,70 and fifth in the 1600 at 5:22.89.
Mason Garfield earned sixth place in the shot put at 40-09. Russell Turcotte placed ninth at 39-06.
Kraven Silk ran the 400 in 58.04 seconds for fifth place. Maddox Reum finished 10th at 61.01 seconds. Silk took 10th in the 100 at 12.51 seconds.
Wolf Point’s boys placed seventh in the team standings with 62 points.
Placing 12th in events for Wolf Point’s girls were Azalei Ackerman in the triple jump at 26-06 and Haidyn Raining Bird in the shot put at 27-07.
Kylie Rodenberg placed 14th in the long jump at 12-7 and 15th in the 100 at 14.8 seconds. Josie Kolstad earned 14th in the javelin at 77-08 and 17th in the long jump at 12-04.
The Wolves will travel to Baker on Saturday, April 9.
