Red Hawks Score At Richey/Lambert Meet
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks opened their season at the Richey/Lambert Invitational held in Lambert on Thursday, April 7.
Froid/Lake scored 21 points in the girls’ standings for eighth place.
Carolyne Christoffersen led the Red Hawks by earning first in the shot put at 34-10 and third in the javelin at 86-02.
Makaylee Elvsaas placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 75-09.
The girls’ 400-meter relay team of Elvsaas, Kadence Hernandez, Elise Logan and Christoffersen finished sixth with a time of 1:10.23.
Christoffersen took seventh in the discus at 74-0 and Elvsaas was eighth in the javelin at 79-04.
The Red Hawks placed 10th in the boys’ standings with 28 points.
Leading Froid/Lake’s boy was Max Engelke as he placed second in the 400 (57.94), second in the 300-meter hurdles (48.69) and fifth in the 200 (25.58).
Javonne Nesbit earned second in the triple jump at 39-02 and fifth in the shot put at 39-01.
Cian Logan took seventh in the discus at 105-08. Xavier Gregor was seventh in the 800 and eighth in the 1600. Joseph Robertson finished eighth in the 400.
