Bainville Earns Honors At Lambert Meet


Bainville’s track athletes earned honors during the Richey/Lambert Invitational held in Lambert on Thursday, April 7.
In the girls’ division, the Bulldogs scored 25 points for seventh place in the team standings.
Elsie Wilson captured three third-place ribbons. The freshman finished third in the 100 at 13.71 seconds, third in the 300-meter hurdles at 55.02 seconds and third in the high jump by clearing 4-10.
Wilson also took fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 19.10 seconds and sixth in the 200 at 29.58 seconds.
Brecklyn Pippenger earned fifth in the javelin at 82-05, sixth in the shot put at 29-01 and sixth in the discus at 74-05.
Miah Pippenger was eighth in the shot put at 26-4 and Kendra Romo took seventh in the javelin at 80-02.
In the boys’ division, Ayden Knudsen finished second in the 3200 at 13:06.46 and fourth in the 1600 at 5:55.31.
Charles Butikofer earned second in the javelin with a mark of 148-05. He cleared 5-6 for fifth place in the high jump.
Samuel Butikofer cleared 5-6 for third place in the high jump and finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.18 seconds.
Carter Winn took fifth in the 300-meter hurdles at 52.61 seconds and was seventh in the triple jump.
Drae Nelson placed sixth in the 3200 at 14:12.82 and was ninth in the 1600 at 6:34.00.
