Red Hawks Advance During District Track Meet


Carolyne Christoffersen broke a district record to highlight the day for the Froid/Lake track team at the District 2C meet in Lambert on Tuesday, May 10.
Christoffersen had a school record best of 40-4 in the shot put for a district record.
The junior placed second in the javelin at 103-08 and third in the discus at 89-8.
Also qualifying for the divisional meet for Froid/Lake’s girls were Makaylee Elvsaas with a mark of 81-6 for sixth place, Elise Logan with a best of 79-5 in the discus for seventh place and Kadence Hernandez by clearing 4-4 in the high jump for seventh place.
Froid/Lake’s girls scored 25 points at the meet. Froid/ Lake’s boys finished with 33 points.
Daniel Forizs finished second in the 100 with a time of 11.95 seconds and third in the 200 at 25.37 seconds.
Max Engelke earned third in the 300-meter hurdles at 38.26, fourth in the 400 at 56.52 seconds and eighth in the 200 at 26.0 seconds.
Javonne Nesbit took third in the triple jump with a best of 37-9 and placed fifth in the shot put at 41-3.
Joseph Robertson finished sixth in the 800 at 2:24.53.
Cian Logan earned seventh place in the javelin at 131-4.
