Golfers Play At Class C State Tourney
Three Roosevelt County golfers competed at the Class C state tournament held at the Sidney Country Club last week.
Froid/Lake’s Ashdyn Hobbs placed 34th with a 211. His rounds were 104 and 107 Bainville’s Braeden Romo finished in 40th place with a two-day score of 212. He had rounds of 107 and 105.
Alex Strickland of Bainville shot a 241 for 54th place. His rounds were 116 and 125.
Art Nicholas of Sweeley Swan earned the individual title with a 165. Scobey’s Braxton Wolfe placed second at 168 and MonDak’s Carson Solberg took third at 171.
MonDak’s Adam Paine also made the top 10 with an 183 for 10th place.
Manhattan Christian won the team title with a score of 540.
MonDak placed second at 549. Seeley Swan was third at 572.
In the girls’ division, Fort Benton’s Casha Corder won the title with 1 174.
Plentywood’s Ashtyn Curtiss placed sixth with a 191 and teammate Paityn Curtiss took seventh with a 192. Fairview’s Bettina Pixnar was 10th at 200 and Fairview’s Allison Jensen tied for 15th with a 215.
